You had me at Yves Saint Laurent. The two beautiful souls started relaxed into the day and they broke the rules because they got ready together in the same room and enjoyed the time laughing, joking, and kissing! Mel had a super simple and modern jumpsuit from I Am Yours and the perfect matching of Yves Saint Laurent heels. Just wow!

Buddhist ceremony at Salotto 1828
Mel and Asafo had chosen a very special location and ceremony for their wedding. The location called Salotto 1828 has this heritage New York and Brooklyn comfy vibes and fits them perfectly. You might not associate the Salotto 1828 directly with a wedding location in Kassel, but it is perfect for a modern and intimate wedding. And the Buddhist wedding water ceremony was really wonderful and one-of-a-kind!

Right after the civil wedding, the family took place at the Salotto 1828 Cafe for a break and we took Mel and Asafo out for some wonderful portraits in the city. We wanted to incorporate some of the New York City vibes here as well and found a great spot nearby with a red-brick house block looking quite similar the ones you can see in Brooklyn.
